Objectifs
The first
- year* of the master's degree programme in International and European Law is a French national degree, taught in English, fully recognized in Europe and complying with the Bologna process. This one
- year program equals 60 credits in the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS).The MIEL aims at giving students a thorough knowledge of the private and public aspects of international and European legal issues.The programme offers a comparative perspective, focuses on methodology with a view to provide the students with the tools needed for them to hold positions as lawyers in an international and European context.A study trip to Brussels will be organised in the frame of this programme. The students will have the opportunity to discover the European Institutions.* In the French system, the master programme is divided into two years: Master 1 (first

- year of Master).At the end of the diploma, students who pass the exams, acquire 60 ECTS credits and are especially entitled to apply for the second year of the Master's degree in France. In particular, the MIEL gives the opportunity to apply for the second year of one of the Master's degree programs taught in English (or both in English or French) at Toulouse 1 Capitole University, in the following areas of study:oComparative International Law, oInternational Business Law, oInternational Economic Law, oPrivate International Law.
